The Artevelde Stadium: Steel, the Key to an Iconic Roof
The Planet Group Arena in Ghent is a multi-purpose stadium that accommodates offices, shops, restaurants, and events. While the main supporting structure is made of concrete and the facades are largely glass, steel was the ideal choice for the impressive roof construction thanks to its strength and lightness.Sandwich panels made of organically coated material were used to finish the roof. Granite® Standard, produced by ArcelorMittal Gent. The result is a modern, weather-resistant roofing solution that perfectly matches the architectural design of the stadium.
