5,000 colleagues who want to move forward together

Every day, more than 5,000 employees work hard to ship 5 million tons of steel annually, shaping the world we live in. From operators, researchers, technicians, planners, and engineers to support teams. They all contribute their unique expertise, united by the same goal: to produce high-quality work.

"Smarter steels for people and planet!"

What we stand for

Our policy reflects our core values: respect, openness, cooperation, and subsidiarity. Our people are the driving force behind ArcelorMittal Belgium's success. We want to create a working environment that attracts diverse talents, where they can develop further, retain their individuality, and feel appreciated.

Four sites, one story

We are one company, spread across four locations: Ghent, Geel, Genk, and Liège. Each site has its own expertise and, of course, specialized teams. Together, they are the driving force behind our Belgian steel production.

  • Ghent – our largest site, with a complete and integrated production process, from raw materials to finished products.
  • Geel – expert in organic coating (painting) of steel coils.
  • Genk – specializing in electrolytic galvanizing.
  • Liège – strong in high-quality finishing of steel coils by galvanizing and/or painting.

Sustainability, a choice we make every day

We believe that steel is part of a sustainable future. That is why we are working on CO₂ reduction, circular raw materials, green energy projects, and technologies that drastically reduce our impact. From large-scale energy projects to local initiatives, every step brings us closer to even more sustainable steel production.

Our management

Our management

Our management team works closely with colleagues in the field and remains closely connected to what is happening in the production environment. This allows them to stay focused on what really matters: working safely, making clear agreements, and making sustainable choices that will stand the test of time. Responsible leadership is embedded into everything we do.

Focus on quality

We embody quality you can feel, see, and measure. It starts with precise processes and ends with products used in sectors where reliability is crucial.

We share what we do

We communicate transparently about where we stand, where we are going, and where we can improve in terms of sustainable policy and production. We do this in our Corporate Responsibility Report. We also believe it is important to stay connected with our community. That is why we are committed to open communication and close contact with our neighbors.
