The agreement covers the acquisition of all facilities in Flémalle, including the Galva 5 hot dip galvanizing line, the CEPI (repair) lines, and a water treatment plant.

The hot dip galvanizing line produces zinc-coated products used in the automotive and construction industries.

We anticipate the line will be operational in 2026, following approximately nine months of maintenance and investment projects needed to restore the facility.

"The galvanizing line in Flémalle allows us to expand our production capacity and supply high-quality products to our automotive and construction customers throughout Europe."

"We look forward to working with the expert team in Flémalle and making the site operational again according to the highest international standards," says Frederik Van De Velde, CEO of ArcelorMittal Belgium.
