The additional sound insulation recently installed at the Steelanol facilityis delivering the intended results. The measurements taken show that noise levels remain under control.

Starting this afternoon, we will be commissioning a fourth bioreactor. This will allow us to gradually increase the gas flow rate toward the maximum level for which the facility was designed. This is an important step in the ongoing commissioning of the facility.

We will continue to closely monitor the noise impact during this phase as well. This is done through internal measurements, temporary monitoring stations in the surrounding area, and periodic inspections by an external noise expert. After each increase in gas flow, we carefully evaluate the measurement results. If necessary, we make adjustments and explore additional measures to further minimize any noise nuisance.

In addition, starting August 31, the Steelanol plant will be temporarily shut down for a scheduled maintenance program. The plant is expected to remain shut down until September 25. For certain maintenance and safety activities, it is necessary to safely depressurize parts of the plant. This may cause an audible venting noise for a short period of time. To minimize the impact on the surrounding area as much as possible, these activities will take place during daylight hours.
