Environmental awards

As a leading company within the steel industry and as the largest private employer of East Flanders, ArcelorMittal Gent needs to lead by example. Throughout the years we have therefore undertaken numerous environmental efforts. These efforts resulted in multiple awards such as the East Flanders Environmental Charter.

We ourselves also present environmental awards to students. As of 1995, dissertations, written within the Ghent university (field of study: Bio-engineering and Master in Environmental Sanitation), that best enlighten an environmental topic are awarded by us. By handing out these environmental awards, we underline the importance of environmental research at our company.
