Preparations are well underway for the restart of our Galva 5 galvanizing line in Flémalle, Liège. After years of inactivity, the line will once again play a strategic role within our Belgian operations. Starting in the second quarter of 2026, hot-rolled steel coils Ghent will once again be galvanized in Flémalle.

Since the purchase of the line in July 2025 , a comprehensive repair and renovation program has been launched. This includes safety training, technical risk analyses, roofing work, the dismantling and repair of the zinc bath, and maintenance of the coil feeding and unwinding equipment. In parallel, the team was expanded and new employees were trained. The site has also been equipped with a new digital infrastructure.
